1. Gas warfare proved not be as effective as first intended by the end of the war because of gas mask.
2. The gasses were not designed to kill most were designed to cause illness that would help disarm the enemy.
3. By the end of the war in total there were only about 1,250,000 gas casualties in the war but only 91,000 fatalities.
4. By the end of the war the main user of gas was Germany, followed by France and the British.
